चलो मंगल चलें


आबादी इतनी बढ़ गई है/ यह दुनिया छोटी पड़ गई है/

चल मंगल पे बस जाएं हम/ इक दुनिया नई बसाएँ हम//

यहाँ भीड़-भड़का भारी है/ धक्के पर धक्का जारी है/

यहाँ गिर कर उठना मुश्किल है/ पैरों को कहां जमाएँ हम//

कम रोटी है, कम पानी है/ आपस में खींचा-तानी है/

सब लड़ते और झगड़ते हैं/ रूठे किस भान्त मनाएं हम//

है मंगल खाली पड़ा हुआ/ अरबों सालों से बिना छुआ/

अनगिनत खेत-मैदान वहां/ कोई सीडी चलो लगाएं हम//

कहते हैं इक मुनि नारद थे/ वे ग्रह-नक्षत्र विशारद थे/

मंगल भी जाया करते थे/ कुछ उनसे पता लगाएं हम//

नारद की कथा पुरानी है/ शायद वह सिर्फ कहानी है/

उस की भी खोज करें लेकिन/ अपनी भी अक्ल लड़ाएं हम//

आओ इक लम्बा तख्ता लें/ उसे चंदा के ऊपर धर दें/

लम्बा हिस्सा धरती की तरफ/ छोटा उस पार जमाएं हम//

जाने वाला उस पार रहे/ झटके के लिए तैयार रहे/

इस तरफ भीड़ का भार रहे/ जिसे इक-दम धाड़ गिराएं हम//

जाने वाला उड़ जाएगा/ मंगल पर पहुंचा पाएगा/

इक-इक कर के, दो-दो कर के/ लाखों को वहां पहुचाएं हम//

जो मंगल पर बस जाएँगे/ हीरो हीरो कहलाएँगे/

और बाकी जो रह जाएँगे/ भर पूरा राशन पाएं हम//

End of All Wars

Wars are basically fought to plunder scares resources of life and to protect and secure your possessions. The ugliness of war, and the bloodshed and misery involved in it, is not on the minds of the contestants. They no doubt market the wars as disputes, acts of self defense, vindication of national pride, holy crusades and jihads etc. and whip up passions of patriotic and religious fervor to marshal the armies but the real motives are tribal greed, fear and aggression.
Hopefully all this is going to change in the coming few decades. Thanks to the rapid advances in science and technology we are very soon entering upon an era of unprecedented abundance. There will be enough and to spare for all mankind and for each one of us. Additionally, certain real threats to life at global level will unite mankind as never before. Along with it an era of peace and tranquility will dawn.
