Life
What is life?

Life is not something that turns on at the time of an individual's birth or goes off at the time of his death.

Life is a worldwide phenomenon that occurs continuously over eons. It started throbbing, as far as we humans know, on the planet Earth some 3.8 billion years ago and it has, ever since, been continuously throbbing, in its myriad branches and countless generations. We, the living beings, will hopefully live for eons through our future generations.

Life is not eternal. It will certainly die when the Earth becomes inhabitable or cannot support it any more or our aging Sun withers away unless it(life) timely migrates to another earthlike planet lit and warmed by another sunlike star.
